Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associates (216)
- Current speech-language pathology licensure/certification applicable for educational settings in the state
- Proven ability in conducting screenings and assessments for speech, language, and hearing
- Experience in diagnostic and treatment planning, as well as IEP development and review
- Comfortable with annual IEP reviews, biweekly progress monitoring, and thorough documentation
- Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with teachers, families, and outside agencies
- Willingness and ability to travel between school sites as needed
- Physical capability to navigate standard school environments, including lifting up to 20 pounds and being able to manage extended periods of sitting or standing
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication disorders
- Conduct screenings and evaluations for speech and hearing needs
- Develop, implement, and review IEP goals in line with state and federal guidelines
- Prepare, maintain, and organize reports and student records
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with families, teachers, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including MET, eligibility, and IEP meetings
- Deliver in-service education sessions for school staff
You will work in a standard school setting with moderate travel between sites and varied daily activities. This 9-month contract role offers the opportunity to build relationships and make a lasting impact within a vibrant school community.
