Empower K-12 students by providing essential communication support in a dynamic school environment near Starkville, MS. As a contract speech-language pathologist, you’ll play an integral role in helping students with speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-communication needs thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments, including speech and hearing evaluations.
  • Develop and implement IEP goals aligned with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed therapy notes, assessment reports, and documentation.
  • Perform annual IEP reviews and biweekly progress monitoring to track student development.
  • Attend and actively participate in MET, eligibility, and IEP meetings.
  • Facilitate training and provide in-service education for staff on communication strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and community agencies for optimal student outcomes.
  • Adapt to varying school environments, with moderate travel between locations as needed.
  • Maintain physical readiness for movement, lifting up to 20 pounds, and extended standing or sitting.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associate (216).
  • Meets state educational licensure and certification requirements for speech-language pathology.
  • Demonstrated skill in diagnostic and treatment planning for speech/language needs.
  • Experience or strong commitment to collaborative teamwork with educators and families.
  • Ability to manage required documentation and scheduling for a school-based caseload.
  • Physical capability to fulfill school and travel requirements within the contract period.
