Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associates (216)
- Active speech-language pathology license or eligibility in the state context for education
- Proficient in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
- Skilled in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning
- Experience with or ability to develop and review individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborative mindset to work closely with teachers, families, and agency partners
- Willingness and ability to travel between school locations as needed throughout the contract
- Physical capability for lifting up to 20 pounds and performing duties while sitting, standing, or moving as necessary for the school environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct intervention and therapy to students according to assessed needs
- Conduct regular screenings, comprehensive assessments, and progress monitoring
- Develop, implement, and review IEPs in alignment with state and federal policies
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports as required
- Attend and participate in annual IEP reviews, biweekly progress checks, and meetings (MET, eligibility, IEP)
- Offer in-service training and support for teachers and staff regarding speech and language supports
- Collaborate with families and community agencies to enhance student outcomes
