Qualifications
- Current certification as Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associates (216)
- Licensure or certification meeting state education requirements for speech-language pathology
- Demonstrated skill in performing speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
- Experience with or ability to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Background in diagnostic and treatment planning for school-aged children
- Capacity to engage effectively with teachers, family members, and community agencies
- Willingness to travel between school sites as needed
- Physical stamina for lifting up to 20 pounds and for extended periods of movement, sitting, and standing
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative interventions for students with a variety of communication disorders
- Screen and assess students in areas of speech, language, and hearing
- Draft and implement IEP goals consistent with state and federal guidelines
- Conduct biweekly progress monitoring and contribute to annual IEP reviews
- Participate actively in MET/eligibility/IEP meetings, sharing expertise with colleagues and stakeholders
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies
- Deliver in-service education to staff, promoting best practices in speech-language support
