Key Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associate (216)
- Current state licensure or eligibility for speech-language pathology practice in educational environments
- Demonstrated skill in conducting comprehensive screenings and assessments (speech, language, hearing)
- Experience or knowledge in planning diagnostics and targeted treatment
- Proficiency in IEP development, review, and adjustment in alignment with state and federal requirements
- Willingness and ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and external agencies for holistic student care
- Capacity to travel between educational sites as needed
- Physical ability to navigate school environments, including lifting up to 20 pounds and remaining mobile or seated for extended periods
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy to students with speech, language, or cognitive-communication challenges
- Administer regular screenings and evaluations to identify communication disorders and track student progress
- Develop individualized education plan (IEP) goals, working within state and federal frameworks
- Maintain detailed records and prepare timely reports
- Participate actively in annual IEP reviews, biweekly progress monitoring, and relevant meetings (MET/eligibility/IEP)
- Provide in-service education and resources to school staff
- Foster strong partnerships with families, teaching staff, and local community agencies
