Desired Qualifications:
- Active certification as a Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associates (216)
- Speech-language pathology certification/licensure appropriate for work in schools in Mississippi
- Minimum 9 months contract commitment
- Proficient in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
- Ability to diagnose, plan, and implement effective treatment for a range of communication disorders in school-age students
- Skilled in developing, monitoring, and reviewing IEPs in alignment with state/federal standards
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educators, families, and outside agencies
- Willingness and capability to travel between school sites as required
- Physical ability to perform standard school-based duties, including moving between classrooms and lifting up to 20 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted intervention and therapy for students with identified needs
- Develop and maintain individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring (biweekly), and prepare required documentation
- Attend and contribute to annual IEP, MET, and eligibility meetings
- Offer in-service education to staff, equipping school teams for success
- Maintain effective communication with families, educators, and related community professionals
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines in school-based practice
