In this contract position, you will use your clinical expertise and collaborative approach to help students with a variety of speech, language, and cognitive-communication needs thrive academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification required: Speech/Language Clinician (215) or Speech Associates (216)
  • Valid speech-language pathology certification/licensure per state education requirements
  • Proficient in administering speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments
  • Strong background in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning
  • Experience developing, implementing, and reviewing IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, families, and outside agencies
  • Comfortable with moderate travel between school sites and adaptable to typical school setting activities
  • Physically able to perform movement and light lifting (up to 20 pounds) and manage extended periods of sitting or standing

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted intervention for students with communication and language disorders
  • Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments for speech and hearing
  • Develop, implement, and review IEP goals, ensuring alignment with educational standards
  • Keep detailed records and prepare necessary documentation and progress reports
  • Monitor student progress biweekly and adjust interventions as needed
  • Attend and contribute to MET, eligibility, and IEP meetings
  • Offer in-service training and support to educators and staff
  • Foster partnerships with families and relevant community agencies to support student needs
