School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | West Columbia, South Carolina

We're searching for two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to provide expert care and support to elementary and secondary students. This assignment begins immediately and continues through May 28, 2027, with each SLP working 37.5 hours per week.
In this essential role, you'll work at one or possibly two school sites, with mileage reimbursement provided for travel between locations. Caseloads vary and may include a range of disabilities, often featuring students in self-contained classrooms. Flexibility is offered regarding age groups and specific caseloads, depending on your expertise and preferences. While Clinical Fellows will be considered, experienced professionals are highly valued for these positions.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- School-based experience preferred; CFs will be reviewed
- Background with varied disabilities, including experience in self-contained classroom settings
- Comfortable being the primary SLP on campus, with support available from a lead SLP and a collaborative team
- Experience or willingness to complete Medicaid billing documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders among students
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough case documentation, including Medicaid billing
- Adapt therapy plans to student needs and caseload changes throughout the assignment
- Offer consultative support to teachers and staff as needed
