School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Elgin, South Carolina
Step into a dynamic school-based setting where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a real difference in students’ lives. This full-time contract role offers the chance to support elementary and/or secondary students within a collaborative educational community, from ASAP through May 28th, 2027. With placements at one or possibly two nearby sites, you’ll help serve diverse caseloads that may include self-contained classroom settings. Mileage reimbursement ensures your travel between sites is supported.
In this role, you’ll enjoy the autonomy of being the primary SLP at your assigned location, while still benefiting from accessible support—an experienced lead SLP and a network of colleagues are just a call away when guidance is needed. Flexibility is a cornerstone of this opportunity, with student ages and caseloads tailored to fit both district needs and your experience and interests. Applicants completing their Clinical Fellowship will be considered, although those with direct experience are preferred.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
- Experience or willingness to work with varied disabilities, including self-contained classrooms
- Proficient with Medicaid billing procedures
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy services
- Maintain accurate documentation for IEPs, progress reports, and Medicaid billing
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for student success
- Adjust caseloads and intervention strategies based on student needs and age groups
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
