School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Irmo, South Carolina

This contract role runs from now through May 28th, 2027, with full-time schedules (37.5 hours per week) and the opportunity to work at one or possibly two school sites. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between sites.
The current need includes one SLP for elementary and another for secondary, though caseloads and age groups can be adapted to your strengths and experience. Most caseloads include a variety of disabilities, with several self-contained classrooms, ensuring your work remains engaging and impactful. While you may be the only SLP in the building, you’ll never feel isolated—with regular access to a lead SLP and a collaborative network of professionals for guidance and support.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure necessary to practice as an SLP in schools
- Experience with Medicaid billing and documentation
- Flexibility regarding student age and caseload assignment
- Comfortable with caseloads that include self-contained classrooms
- Will consider Clinical Fellows (CF) for review, but preference given to experienced candidates
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support IEP goals
- Maintain timely and accurate Medicaid documentation
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
