Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - West Chester, PA
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle and high school students as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant urban district near West Chester, PA. This full-time contract role offers 35 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027. You’ll work closely with students, educators, and families to make a meaningful difference in communication outcomes.
The district is looking for someone who brings school-based SLP experience and is fully comfortable working on-site in a middle and high school environment. All applicants must be prepared to work between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM with no schedule accommodations; reliable transportation is necessary for consistent attendance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC credentials
- Previous experience working in schools, specifically with middle and high school caseloads
- Ability to complete all Pennsylvania (PA) clearances prior to your start date
- Comfortable working in an urban district and adapting to the needs of the student community
- Commitment to an onsite schedule—remote work is not available
- Reliable transportation for commuting
- Familiarity with general duties of an SLP in a school setting
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapy to students with speech/language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Complete necessary documentation and comply with district and state requirements
- Participate in meetings and provide input for the school multidisciplinary team
