Caseload Information
- Full-time elementary school caseload
- Share responsibilities and workload with another full-time Speech-Language Pathologist assigned to the building
- Provide services to students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized therapy goals aligned with student needs
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers
- Support student success in both academic and social environments
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License required
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development and special education procedures preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
