This full-time contract position focuses on providing Speech-Language Pathology services in a school-based setting located in Hartford, CT, with work hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM. The role offers a split schedule between two elementary schools, with specific sites to be determined. The contract runs through June 9, 2026, with two openings available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy and support to students across a range of disability categories within inclusive classrooms.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ communication needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide expertise related to speech and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Required Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred; open to Clinical Fellows (CF).
  • Active Connecticut professional license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • School-based SLP experience is mandatory.
  • Compliance with district fingerprinting and background check requirements.
  • Availability for a Zoom interview process.
  • No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) considered for this role.

  • This is an onsite position, 35 hours per week.
  • Candidates should be prepared with upfront licensure verification for the hiring process.
  • Positions are split between two elementary schools without specialized classrooms, supporting inclusion programs.
