Applicants will be most successful if they bring the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility (CFYs are also welcome)
- Experience with pediatric populations and working in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and interpreting results
- Organizational and time management skills for a dynamic caseload
Your day-to-day responsibilities in this role will include:
- Providing direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans
- Working collaboratively with educators and other school staff to support student outcomes
- Documenting progress notes, therapy sessions, and assessment results
- Communicating regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
- Adapting therapy approaches to meet individual student needs
