Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or eligibility in the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) according to student needs
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Document ongoing progress, maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer consultations and training to staff and parents as needed
