Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Vina, AL
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity near Vina, AL, providing speech-language support across preschool to high school settings. This position offers a dynamic environment working in both early childhood and adolescent education, with a primary focus on preschoolers while also supporting a smaller group of middle and high school students. The role spans two school sites, encompassing three schools in total, with the middle and high schools sharing a campus for convenience.
Your expertise will impact a caseload of 55-60 students, though the majority are related service cases, allowing you to devote special attention to just 8 primary files. Immediate start is available, continuing through May 2027, with a consistent 5-day, 37.5-hour work week.
What you bring:
- Valid AL SLP or SLPA credential
- Experience in school-based speech-language therapy and/or healthcare or pediatric settings
- Familiarity with IEPs and special education processes (preferred)
- Compassion for students of varying ages, especially preschoolers
- Strong organizational skills to balance caseload and documentation
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services as outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
- Manage and maintain documentation for primary students on your caseload
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Provide related services support for a diverse range of learners
- Rotate between school sites, adapting to different age groups and needs
