Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Hamilton, Alabama
Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication and growth as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). This contract opportunity spans from now until May 28, 2027, serving a diverse student population primarily at the preschool level with light involvement at the middle and high school levels. With caseloads ranging from 55-60 students—most of which are related services—direct case management responsibilities will focus on just eight primary students. You’ll have the chance to collaborate across two school sites (three schools total, with middle and high school sharing a campus) and make a measurable difference where your skills are valued.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active AL SLP or SLPA credentials/certification
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP/SLPA experience preferred
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary educational teams
- Familiarity with IEPs, special education documentation, and compliance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- CFY candidates with appropriate support are also encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for caseload students
- Directly manage files and IEPs for primary caseload (8 students)
- Deliver therapy for related service students as needed
- Engage in productive communication with staff and families
- Contribute expertise during IEP meetings and multidisciplinary conferences
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
