SLP in Palm City, FL
Step into a contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in beautiful Southeast Florida Coast. This on-site role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students with diverse needs while working alongside dedicated education professionals across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
Assignments are available on a full-time (35 hours/week) or part-time basis, with caseloads tailored to your strengths and preferences. You could work with students ranging from early childhood (VPK) through 12th grade, including specialized units for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Intellectual Disabilities (InD), and Varying Exceptionalities (VE).
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP licensure required (SLPA accepted if local supervision is in place)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Ability to adapt therapy for a variety of age groups and needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Fingerprinting required for credentialing (may be transferrable from DOH)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, therapy, and consultative services as assigned
- Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with school teams
- Maintain documentation and progress monitoring in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Offer support during school meetings and trainings as needed
