Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School SLP, making a positive impact on students ranging from PreK through 8th grade near Ventura, CA. This onsite position spans the full school year, starting August 2027, and allows you to work directly with up to 65 students across 1-2 school sites. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll have the chance to deliver individualized therapeutic interventions, collaborate closely with educators, and foster growth in a supportive educational setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in school-based settings, especially with PreK–8th grade
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to commute between assigned school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for a diverse caseload of up to 65 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Communicate goals and progress with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Maintain detailed records and comply with relevant policies and special education regulations
- Support a positive, inclusive school environment while advocating for each student’s abilities
