Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication needs in a friendly school community near Oxnard, CA! This onsite, full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students from PreK through 8th grade. Starting in August 2027, you’ll work closely with faculty, families, and up to 65 students across 1-2 school sites, helping to build vital speech and language skills.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise, compassion, and flexibility, thriving in dynamic educational environments. Experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred, and effective collaboration is key for success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and current CA SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly desired
- Familiarity with assessment, IEP process, and data-driven intervention
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable traveling between 1-2 local school sites
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services for students with varied speech and language needs
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and supporting goal development
- Maintain accurate documentation for progress monitoring and compliance
