Speech Language Pathologist in Oxnard, CA

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students from pre-K through 8th grade as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist. In this full-time position, you will collaborate directly with educators and families to make a meaningful impact on up to 65 students. Beginning in August 2027, you’ll have the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services across 1-2 school sites throughout the week.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably across a range of grade levels
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Comfortable commuting between school sites
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and diagnostics for students pre-K through 8th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing as a resource and advocate for students' needs
- Manage a caseload of up to 65 students, providing both direct therapy and consultative services
- Travel between 1-2 local schools as part of your weekly schedule
