School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Ventura, California
Step into an impactful role supporting diverse students by providing speech-language pathology services in a vibrant school community near Ventura, CA. This onsite, full-time opportunity starts immediately and extends through the 2025-2026 school year. As a Bilingual (Spanish-English) Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll empower students from PreK through 8th grade across up to 65 caseloads while collaborating with educators and families in a dynamic educational setting.
Your workweek will consist of 37.5 hours and entail commuting between one to two nearby schools. You'll engage directly with students, utilizing your bilingual expertise to foster communication skills and enable academic and social success.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children and diverse populations
- Strong assessment, intervention planning, and documentation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to commute between school locations within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students PreK-8, with attention to bilingual needs
- Provide direct therapy and consultation to students and staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain timely documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based teams
- Foster an inclusive, positive environment for multilingual learners
