Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Camarillo, CA
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ growth and communication skills as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time contract opportunity begins August 2027 and offers the chance to impact learners from PreK through 8th grade. With 37.5 hours per week, you’ll work onsite, fostering progress for up to 65 students while gaining valuable experience across 1–2 school locations.
Your expertise will be instrumental in helping children develop confidence and reach their full potential. Each day brings new challenges—and new victories—as you collaborate with educators and families in a dynamic school environment.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
- Experience working with school-aged children (PreK–8th preferred)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to commute between 1–2 assigned schools as needed
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct SLP services onsite to a diverse caseload of PreK–8th grade students
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet individual student needs
- Support students in developing communication, articulation, and language skills
