School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Ventura, California
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a school-based contract role supporting preschool students. This full-time opportunity runs from ASAP through June 17, 2026, offering the chance to work with a vibrant community of children ages 3 to 5 across multiple school sites in a picturesque Southern California setting.
You’ll collaborate closely with another experienced SLP on-site, supporting a caseload of up to 50 students. Additionally, the school offers opportunities for interdisciplinary teamwork as there are occupational therapy needs at the site as well. Contribute your expertise and gain valuable experience in pediatric speech and language interventions in a supportive and collegial environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license (CFY and CCC welcomed)
- Previous experience with pediatric or school settings preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy, preschool assessments, and intervention planning
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- SLPA experience is valued for collaborative teamwork
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for preschool students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain progress documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff across multiple school sites
- Utilize teletherapy and on-site methods as needed
- Work with your SLP colleague to ensure best practices and student-centered care
