School Speech Language Pathologist - Thousand Oaks, CA
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting preschool-aged children as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this full-time opportunity, you'll work with children ages 3 to 5 across several school sites, helping them reach essential milestones. Collaboration is at the heart of this position—you’ll share your caseload (up to 50 students) alongside an experienced SLP, ensuring a supportive and team-oriented environment.
You’ll provide a range of services tailored to the unique needs of preschoolers, making a long-lasting impact on early learners from now through June 17, 2026. There’s also the chance to work alongside Occupational Therapy professionals, broadening your interdisciplinary skills. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current California SLP licensure or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) and SLPAs encouraged to apply
- Experience with pediatric populations, especially in schools or healthcare
- Comfort with technology and teletherapy platforms
- Familiarity supporting preschool-aged children (ages 3-5)
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate across multiple sites
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech/language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services for preschool students
- Partner with another SLP and multiple school teams to manage and support a shared caseload
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Engage with occupational therapists and other specialists as needed
