Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Van Nuys, CA

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Van Nuys, CA, serving a school-based setting on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing therapeutic services to students with communication and swallowing challenges, supporting their academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapy methods to improve speech, language, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapies as needed to achieve treatment goals.
- Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure coordinated support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Experience in school-based speech therapy and familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Skilled in using AAC devices and teletherapy platforms.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience as an SLPA in educational or healthcare settings is a plus.
