A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a school-based contract position in Rantoul, IL, starting mid-August and continuing through late May, with exact dates to be confirmed. This role offers the unique opportunity to support a diverse student population, with a focus on bilingual Spanish-speaking students from early childhood through 8th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to a bilingual caseload, primarily Spanish-speaking students.
  • Manage an estimated caseload of 10-15 bilingual students, alongside a monolingual caseload that varies based on part-time or full-time employment status.
  • If full-time, expect to serve approximately 40-45 total students, with a maximum caseload not exceeding 50.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to school district policies and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
  • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with early childhood through middle school students.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively.
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.

Location: Rantoul, IL
Type: Contract position for the academic year (August through May), with potential renewal for the following school year.
