Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience in schools, particularly with early childhood and elementary-aged students
- Skilled in supporting students with moderate to severe communication needs, including non-verbal learners
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities for working with teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for a caseload focused primarily on non-verbal students, many with developmental delays
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote students’ communication goals in classroom and school environments
- Offer consultation and support to educators and families regarding student progress and strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy, evaluations, and progress reports
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field
