School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Schenectady, New York

Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Enthusiasm for working with students with diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation for student progress and interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings with staff and families, offering expertise and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other service providers to foster success in academic and social settings
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education relevant to school-based speech-language services
