School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Toccoa, Georgia
Bring your passion for supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming community near Habersham, GA. This contract opportunity focuses on providing meaningful speech therapy services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe/profound needs in grades K–5. You'll enjoy working onsite, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding students toward progress throughout the school year.
What We’re Looking For:
- An active Georgia SLP license
- Current Georgia Educator Certificate
- Experience in schools (preferred), but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
- Direct experience with ASD and/or severe classroom populations a plus
- Ability to work onsite (remote/virtual not offered for this position)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to K–5 students in specialized ASD and severe/profound classrooms
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and participate in meetings with staff and families
- Monitor student progress and provide ongoing documentation
- Complete Medicaid billing and comply with district/state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff for holistic student support
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive, team-oriented school environment
Schedule & Details:
- Full-time hours (up to 37.5/week), with part-time options considered
- Position available ASAP, extending through the end of the current school year and 2025–2026
