School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Thermal, California
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Thermal, CA! This full-time, full-school-year position is ideal for speech-language pathologists committed to making a lasting impact within educational settings. Candidates interested in an onsite role will be prioritized, as in-person services are key to meeting the needs of the student population.
You will work closely with PreK-aged children—this is the highest priority for the district—with potential for itinerant assignments supporting a range of student needs, predominantly mild to moderate, with occasional severe cases and some AAC device integration. The team welcomes clinical fellows (CFs) and values previous school-based or SEIS and CA Medicaid (Paradigm) experience. Bilingual Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply, though monolingual candidates are equally welcome.
Key Qualifications:
- Speech-Language Pathologist with ASHA CCCs or Clinical Fellowship status
- Eligible for, or holder of, a valid Certificate of Clearance (COC)
- Bilingual Spanish abilities highly preferred
- Previous experience in school settings or with SEIS and Medicaid documentation preferred
- Comfort supporting mild to severe cases, including AAC device users
- Commitment to a minimum one-year assignment
- Willingness to work onsite (remote options are not currently being considered)
- Flexibility for potential itinerant duties across sites
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK and potentially other student groups
- Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and collaborate with educational teams
- Document interventions and outcomes in accordance with district and state standards
