Your responsibilities will include delivering direct and consultative speech therapy to a caseload composed mostly of mild-to-moderate needs, with some students presenting more significant challenges. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with AAC devices and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to create effective, student-centered therapy plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current and active IL SLP License is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with a range of mild to severe students.
- Familiarity with AAC devices is a plus.
- Meets all district and state requirements for school-based SLPs.
- Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to collaborate within an educational team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students as outlined in IEPs.
- Evaluate, assess, and document student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with school staff and families.
- Develop and implement individualized goals and therapy plans.
- Support use and integration of AAC devices as needed.
