School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Palm Desert, California

You’ll play a key part in serving a range of student needs, from mild to severe, including some who utilize AAC devices and require tailored intervention strategies. There is a high likelihood of this being an itinerant opportunity, offering diverse experiences across different sites. Bilingual Spanish skills are a strong asset, though monolingual applicants are welcome. Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply—mentorship and support can be provided to help launch your school-based SLP career.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship
- Certificate of Clearance required
- Experience working in school settings and familiarity with SEIS documentation preferred
- Previous exposure to CA Medicaid (Paradigm) a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred; monolingual candidates also considered
- Comfortable supporting PreK students and capable of handling itinerant assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and consultation to students, primarily PreK but with opportunities for broader caseloads
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Travel between school sites as needed
