Key Qualifications:
- Current state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Illinois (IL SLP License required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with implementation and programming for AAC devices
- Understanding of state- or district-specific requirements for school-based SLPs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy to students onsite for 37.5 hours per week
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to optimize therapy outcomes
- Complete progress notes, documentation, and thorough evaluations as required
- Utilize AAC devices for students with complex communication needs
