School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - La Quinta, California

This full-time, full-school-year contract opportunity focuses on providing high-quality speech-language pathology services to school-aged children, with a key emphasis on PreK. Flexibility and a collaborative spirit are essential, as this position could include itinerant assignments across multiple campuses.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Holds an active SLP license and CCC credentials, or is a Clinical Fellow (CF) seeking school-based experience
- Experience with school settings and familiarity with SEIS documentation is ideal
- Background working with CA Medicaid (Paradigm) processes is valued
- Bilingual Spanish speakers strongly encouraged to apply, but monolingual candidates are welcomed
- Comfortable supporting a range of mild to moderate, and occasional severe, speech needs, including students utilizing AAC devices
- Certificate of Clearance (COC) mandatory
- Adaptable, with a passion for serving diverse student populations and collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams
- Willingness to commit to a multi-year assignment in an onsite-only environment; preference given to candidates with long-term availability
Role Highlights:
- Deliver dynamic speech-language therapy services to PreK and possibly other age groups
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and consult with educators and families
- Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in team meetings, providing expertise on speech and language
