Key Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license with CCC credential
- Experience providing school-based speech therapy
- Certificate of Clearance (COC) required prior to start
- Previous experience with California Medicaid (Paradigm) preferred
- Knowledgeable in evaluation and intervention for mild to moderate needs, with some students requiring more intensive support—including those using AAC devices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Conducting speech, language, and communication assessments for preschool-age students
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals
- Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborating with general and special education staff to optimize student outcomes
- Providing guidance and resources to families and caregivers for continued support at home
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expertise to interdisciplinary team discussions
