Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Thermal, CA

As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families, addressing a range of needs from mild to severe, and utilizing AAC devices as appropriate. The setting combines stability with the excitement of possible itinerant work across multiple sites. While Spanish-English bilingual skills are strongly preferred, monolingual candidates are welcomed. Candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) will be prioritized, but consideration will also be given to Clinical Fellows eager to launch their careers in an inspiring school-based setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship
- Certificate of Clearance required
- Previous school-based experience, especially with SEIS and/or California Medicaid (Paradigm), preferred
- Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred, though not required
- Experience supporting students using AAC devices is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive onsite speech-language services, predominantly to PreK students
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers and families, ensuring collaborative support for student progress
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with documentation standards
- Offer services across multiple schools as needed
