Speech Language Pathologist in Coachella, CA
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available in the Coachella, CA area, serving schools near Thermal. This position supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a school setting for the 26/27 school year. The role is ideal for professionals passionate about helping diverse learners, including those with mild to moderate speech and language needs as well as some students requiring support for severe needs and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Key responsibilities include providing speech-language services across multiple locations within the district, making this potentially an itinerant role. Experience with special education information systems (SEIS) and familiarity with California Medicaid billing (Paradigm) is preferred to ensure efficient service delivery. A bilingual Spanish-speaking candidate is strongly preferred to better serve the community’s needs. A valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license and a Certificate of Clearance (COC) are required for this onsite role.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CA Speech-Language Pathologist License required
- Certificate of Clearance (COC) required
- Experience working in K-12 school settings, preferably with SEIS systems
- Knowledge of CA Medicaid (Paradigm) preferred
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- Ability to work with a caseload featuring mild to moderate and some severe needs
- Comfortable working with AAC devices and assisting students with complex communication needs
