Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Comfortable working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy into classroom activities and daily routines
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision making for student support
- Provide guidance and resources for classroom staff to ensure students’ ongoing success
