Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, working full-time in the LA area for the upcoming academic year. This contract position begins in August 2026 and concludes in June 2027, offering you the chance to make a genuine impact on students’ lives within a vibrant educational community.
You’ll support students across 1-4 school sites (itinerant model, with an average of two campuses), providing speech and language services tailored specifically to individual needs. Experience a meaningful workday with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 7:30am to 4:00pm. With manageable caseloads of 55-60 students, you'll be a pivotal resource for a diverse age group while collaborating with dedicated campus-based case managers.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active California SLP license (Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellow; no SLPAs)
- Valid CTC document (preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance)
- School-based experience preferred, though strong CF candidates are considered if supervision is arranged
- Commitment to on-site work, as remote or VOCO options are not offered
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to a diverse caseload
- Utilize assessment materials (approximately $2500, reimbursed) and maintain documentation for all interventions
- Collaborate with faculty, parents, and specialized staff to create and implement IEPs
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed
