School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | The Villages, Florida
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, helping elementary-aged students make meaningful progress in their communication skills. Two contract roles can be tailored to fit your schedule: full-time (37.5 hours/week across two schools) or part-time (22.5 hours/week at one location, three days per week). Collaborate closely with experienced SLPs in a supportive environment where caseloads are shared and professional growth is encouraged.
As you partner with educators and students, you’ll primarily address speech and language impairments, while also supporting ESE (Exceptional Student Education) classrooms to enhance individualized learning experiences. With a manageable caseload (60-65 students split between SLPs), and access to a shared workspace, you’ll feel supported and empowered every step of the way.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active FL DOH license in Speech-Language Pathology (professional license required)
- School-based SLP experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work collaboratively in a shared caseload model
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to meeting credentialing requirements, including direct district onboarding
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and interventions to K-5 students with speech and language needs
- Contribute to IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Engage in regular collaboration with school staff and families
- Complete required documentation and timesheets in a timely manner
- Provide consultative support to educators and resource staff within ESE settings

- District will review candidates starting 7/16
- Credentialing is time-sensitive with district-administered onboarding and badge issuance
