Teletherapy Speech Language Pathologist in PA
Virtual Speech-Language Pathologists are needed to provide teletherapy services for students in grades 5 through 12 in Reading, PA. This contract opportunity runs from August 24th through June 4th and involves a full-time schedule of approximately 37.5 hours per week, aligning roughly with middle and high school hours (around 8:25 AM to 3:25 PM for middle school and 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM for high school).
Responsibilities include delivering speech-language therapy and conducting meetings to support student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Services will focus on older students, allowing on-site SLPs to concentrate on younger students (PreK-4th grades) and more intensive caseloads or evaluation duties. This opportunity is ideal for therapists experienced with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), especially those familiar with Proloquo, as the school has recently expanded its autism support classrooms significantly.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a license to practice in the relevant state
- Proficiency with telespeech and teletherapy platforms for remote service delivery
- Experience with school-based speech-language services for grades 5-12
- Familiarity with AAC devices, particularly Proloquo, and working with students on the autism spectrum
- Ability to manage caseloads within state-defined limits, not exceeding 65 students
- Skilled in using IEP writing software and adhering to educational compliance standards
