Virtual Speech Language Pathologist - PA
Virtual Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are sought for a school contract in Pottstown, PA, offering a full-time schedule at 37.5 hours per week. The position supports students in grades 5 through 12 with teletherapy services provided generally between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, aligned with middle and high school hours, from August 24th to June 4th.
Responsibilities include delivering speech-language therapy via telepractice to students while collaborating with onsite staff who manage kindergarten through fourth grade and more intensive programs. This role involves participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and completing related documentation using the school’s IEP writer system. Services will primarily focus on supporting students in autism support classrooms, many of which utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tools, particularly Proloquo. Caseloads are carefully managed to stay within the state’s maximum limit of 65 students.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience with teletherapy or telespeech in educational settings
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance requirements
- Expertise in AAC strategies, especially Proloquo, is highly valued
