Speech Language Pathologist Work From Home | Pennsylvania
Virtual Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are needed to provide teletherapy services for students in grades 5 through 12 within a school setting. This full-time contract opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week, generally from 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. for middle school and 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for high school schedules, spanning from August 24th through June 4th.
Responsibilities include delivering telepractice speech and language therapy to students with IEPs, collaborating on service planning, and attending meetings. The role supports an educational environment with over 15 autism support classrooms, emphasizing skills with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices such as Proloquo. Caseloads will not exceed the state cap of 65 students, ensuring manageable workloads. The school employs IEP writer software for documentation. On-site SLPs will continue to manage more intensive classrooms and elementary caseloads (PreK-4th grade), as well as evaluations, allowing virtual SLPs to focus on grades 5-12.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience with teletherapy or telespeech in educational settings
- Familiarity with AAC systems, particularly Proloquo, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of special education and IEP processes
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators and support staff remotely
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation
