Virtual Speech Language Pathologist in PA
A full-time virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students in grades 5 through 12 at a school in Boyertown, PA. This contract role requires approximately 37.5 hours per week, typically covering Middle School hours from 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. and High School hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting August 24th and continuing through June 4th.
This position involves providing teletherapy services and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings using an IEP writer tool. The virtual SLP will work alongside on-site SLPs who serve more intensive populations, including elementary grades and PreK-4th grade caseloads, as well as handling evaluations. The school has expanded its autism support classrooms and will particularly benefit from SLPs experienced with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, predominantly Proloquo. Caseloads will remain within state guidelines, not exceeding 65 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver virtual speech-language therapy to students in grades 5-12
- Collaborate on IEP development and attend related meetings
- Support students using AAC, with an emphasis on Proloquo software
- Coordinate with on-site therapists regarding intensive support and evaluation services
- Maintain caseload compliance with state regulations
- Participate in weekly team meetings and trainings
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification and licensure appropriate for Pennsylvania schools
- Experience with teletherapy service delivery
- Familiarity with IEP writing and compliance requirements
- Knowledge and experience with AAC, especially Proloquo, preferred
- Capability to manage caseload limits effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in virtual settings
