Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Remote - Pennsylvania
Professional teletherapy speech-language pathologists are sought for a full-time virtual position serving students in grades 5 through 12. This contract role supports educational services remotely within the Reading, PA area and is scheduled from August 24th through June 4th, with approximately 37.5 hours weekly. Typical service hours range from 8:25 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. for middle school and 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for high school.
Responsibilities include providing speech-language services through teletherapy, maintaining caseloads that do not exceed the state cap of 65 students, and utilizing an IEP writer system for documentation and planning. The role focuses on serving students in less intensive settings, complementing on-site SLPs who support elementary grades and more intensive classrooms. Participation in services and meetings aligned with IEP requirements is expected.
Experience with AAC devices, particularly Proloquo, is highly valuable, as the district has expanded autism support classrooms significantly and requires skilled SLPs to address communication needs. Regular collaboration and support are available through weekly meetings designed to assist new clinicians in acclimating to the virtual environment.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid SLP certification/licensure
- Proven experience in school-based speech-language pathology with teletherapy expertise
- Familiarity with IEP writing software
- Ability to work independently with a virtual caseload
- Skills and experience working with AAC, particularly Proloquo
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
