K-5 Elementary School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Tacoma, Washington

Make a meaningful impact providing speech-language services to elementary students, supporting their communication and academic development in grades K-5. This contract role is based near Tacoma, WA, and offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team dedicated to student success. Openings are available across a range of grade levels, K-12, and there may be opportunities to extend your work through the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
In this role, you’ll have the chance to use your expertise to help children overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Experience working with elementary-aged children strongly preferred
- Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for a diverse student population in grades K-5
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech-language therapy to students
- Develop individualized treatment plans and update progress documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to facilitate student success
- Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
