Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license (Washington State)
- Prior experience working with middle or secondary school students preferred
- Familiarity with AAC devices, including eye gaze technology, is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Role Overview & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students
- Serve at the middle school four days per week, managing a student caseload and delivering approximately 725 minutes monthly
- Dedicate Mondays to working with four homebound students (elementary and secondary levels), including supporting their AAC needs and assistive technology
- Create individualized treatment plans and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing progress monitoring
Schedule:
- Regular hours are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm; Mondays begin at 8:30 am
- Start date to include a brief overlap with the current Speech-Language Pathologist—week of February 9th or 23rd
