School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Tacoma, Washington
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the remainder of the school year. This onsite position offers full-time or part-time flexibility, Monday through Friday, with hours depending on assigned school buildings. Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating communication challenges such as receptive-expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, neuromuscular, and non-vocal difficulties.
- Documenting assessment outcomes and explaining how communication disorders impact students’ academic performance.
- Identifying student needs, crafting tailored treatment plans, and providing recommendations for targeted interventions and IEPs.
- Managing a caseload averaging 45 or more students, ensuring individualized attention and support.
- Collaborating closely with educational teams, families, and other specialists to best serve each student.
Qualifications we’re seeking:
- Washington State SLP license with ESA certification (or eligible to obtain).
- Open to both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and those holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience or interest in working in school settings with diverse student populations.
- Fingerprinting completed through OSPI within the past two years (or willingness to obtain).
