School Speech Language Pathologist - Kent, Washington
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential speech and language services to students for the current school year. Serve a diverse range of students in elementary, middle, and high school—caseloads will be tailored to your preferences following interviews. Your work will focus on helping students overcome communication challenges, directly impacting their educational experience.
Schedule options are full-time or part-time, Monday through Friday between 8 am and 4 pm, with placements determined by building needs. The assignment runs onsite through the end of the school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating students with a variety of communication disorders, including receptive-expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, and neuromuscular or non-vocal challenges.
- Documenting comprehensive evaluation results and connecting them to each student’s academic performance.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans, making intervention recommendations, and preparing individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collaborating with school teams, families, and other related service providers to deliver holistic support.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A current WA SLP license and ESA credential.
- Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome.
- Completion of fingerprints through OSPI within the past two years.
- Solid understanding of school-based SLP practices and student educational needs.
- Motivation to serve diverse caseloads and support students at various grade levels.
