School Speech and Language Pathologist | Lakewood, Washington
Take your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to new heights while supporting K-12 students on-site in the greater Lakewood area! We’re searching for passionate SLPs to make a meaningful impact in school-based settings through the end of the 2025–2026 school year. You’ll play a crucial role in improving communication skills for a caseload of 45-50 students, collaborating with dedicated educators and families to help each child reach their fullest potential.
What you’ll bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current (or willingness to obtain) Washington SLP licensure
- Completion of, or openness to, OSPI fingerprinting requirements
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred
- Commitment to working exclusively on-site (no teletherapy)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners across K-12
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Complete assessments, write comprehensive evaluations, and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Keep thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ communication needs
This is a full-time contract opportunity, running ASAP through June 12, 2026, with 37.5 hours per week guaranteed. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
