Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract role serving a preschool and Child Find caseload in an engaging school setting near Surprise, AZ. This full-time, onsite opportunity spans the 2026–2027 academic year, offering dynamic collaboration and the ability to impact young learners’ communication skills.
Ideal candidates are passionate about early intervention, thrive in collaborative educational environments, and have experience balancing assessment duties with ongoing therapy services. This role requires adaptability, as caseload distribution will depend on the need for evaluations versus ongoing therapy, ranging from 30 students (with heavy evaluation duties) to approximately 60 (for those with lighter assessment responsibilities).
Qualifications:
- Active state Speech-Language Pathology license
- SLP Educator Certificate
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience in school-based SLP services, particularly preschool and/or Child Find assessment and intervention
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Collaborative communication style to work effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and speech-language evaluation services to preschool students and children identified through Child Find
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as determined by caseload allocation
- Collaborate actively with educational teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and district guidelines
