Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan SLP License required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to manage caseloads of 30-40 elementary-aged students
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Dedication to fostering student growth and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services onsite to elementary students, focusing on individualized needs and educational goals
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop intervention plans in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational staff to support students’ progress
  • Develop, maintain, and update accurate and timely reports and student records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
  • Educate parents and staff about effective strategies and techniques to foster communication skills

This position offers the chance to work full-time onsite (32.5 hours per week) during the school year, providing meaningful services from now through June 2027.
