Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage caseloads of 30-40 elementary-aged students
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services onsite to elementary students, focusing on individualized needs and educational goals
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop intervention plans in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational staff to support students’ progress
- Develop, maintain, and update accurate and timely reports and student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
- Educate parents and staff about effective strategies and techniques to foster communication skills
This position offers the chance to work full-time onsite (32.5 hours per week) during the school year, providing meaningful services from now through June 2027.
