Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Simpsonville, SC
Make an impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in a dynamic elementary and middle school environment! This contract opportunity offers the flexibility to design your own schedule, working 15–20 hours per week over 2–4 days, serving a diverse and engaging caseload of up to 30 students, primarily in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Your expertise will help young learners access their education and thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Strong skills in conducting assessments and eligibility evaluations
- Proficiency in writing IEPs and delivering services in alignment with educational goals
- Familiarity with Ed-plan or similar education platforms is an asset
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, supporting their communication and academic success
- Assess, screen, and evaluate students to determine speech-language eligibility and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Write and maintain IEPs for students requiring services in accordance with federal and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication goals into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation using Ed-plan and ensure ongoing compliance with case management requirements
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
